Will the “Person of Interest” the TV series will be the future of crime prevention. DHS is in the process of developing the futuristic crime prevention program call Future Attribute Screening Technology (FAST). Currently DHS employees are been used as the test subjects. The way this system operates is buy measuring pulse rate, skin temperature, breathing, facial expression, body movement, pupil dilation, and other physiological/behavioral patterns. The intention of this technology was to prevent unknown terrorists and mostly be used at airports and other high security areas. What If this technology was implemented to monitor general public like what we saw on the TV series or the movie “Minority Report”. If this technology is used to monitor public, this will bring a different prospective of big-data, analytics and Fuzzy logic to all of us.
